when I was playing around with my display at one stage I managed to get the pins mounted one pin along ( out of sequence) , anyhow reinstalled the LCD module and it went fine but it had stuffed the touch feature. Since bought another module and all good. Sounds like if yours was working but not now then it never will, it is stuffed.

Mine doesn't work reliably either - they seem to be of variable quality. If I ever get the time I will try to redesign the interface to use buttons. Meanwhile I have ordered a replacement to see if that's any better.

Sounds like my problem. Have you tried it with the disk it came with - I am wondering if there is a sensitivity issue?

Steve, Mike

Please could you copy and paste a sample of the Putty response to touch commands here. I can then compare with a working screen and see if there are any changes that I can make to the code to improve things.

Please use a poking stick for the test, not your fingers.

Thanks

Hi Dave,

Sorry, mine is in bits at the moment. I am starting to finally put it all together in a box.

Hi Steve

That looks OK for the start-up message, but do you get any additional text when you try to make selections on the screen?

It's the failed selection text that I need.
