I tried my RTLSDR V4 in the RTL-FM receiver menu and found that it would not receive anything.
I borrowed a V3 and it worked.
I am assuming that this is a driver issue between the two versions.. is there a fix?
Is there a way to turn on/off the Bias-T voltage for external filters and amps?
Also, the volume is far too high for my speakers, is there a volume control for this section?

Re: PD4 RTLSDR V4 driver and Bias-T
The RTL-SDR V4 uses different drivers and is not supported by Portsdown.
The facility was designed to be used with external computer-style speakers with a hardware volume control, so it is fixed volume.

Thank you for the information Dave.
I will try to exchange one of my V4s for the borrowed V3.
I will also try to dig up some small PC speakers.
