Libre SDR
Re: Libre SDR
It obviously needs both kits installing, and in my case it starts. Loop back mode is perfect, but RX is a problem, not sure if my Pluto is on the wrong firmware, as it’s totally deaf.
Re: Libre SDR
Make sure you have the RX gain set to auto.
Use a lowish bandwidth, e.g. 960k for 333ks or 2Ms for the beacon.
Use the latest 0.39 Pluto firmware from the analog devices website.

Re: Libre SDR
So, it seems some people are not searching for the pluto in definitions but adding it. Search for it to get the serial number. That matters.

Re: Libre SDR
Yes I did that, as the latest versions don’t work with original definitions. That’s mentioned.
I’ll look at the RF gain etc tomorrow. Other posters are having what looks like an easy success, I must have misconfigured something.
Thanks Mike

Re: Libre SDR
I have noticed that with my LibreSDR, SDR-TV is perhaps a dB less sensitive than my Picotuner NIM. I don't know why, there are some spurii which might be related to other signals, noise in the RX or maybe there is more phase noise. My original version Pluto is marginally better. If you have a small dish, that dB matters and you may struggle. I expect that will improve over time. Quick fix is to use more error correction, e.g. 1/2 instead of 2/3 or 2/3 instead of 3/4.
