Re: hack rf
I think the latest version of DATVEasy offers some support, but I found it very flakey/buggy and don't use it at the moment.

Yes the support on DATVEasy is not very correct but I was thinking about an idea to integrate it into Portsdown in the future, if it is possible of course, because it is cheaper than all the others Pluto and Lime etc.....

Re: hack rf
I suspect that would be a huge amount of work and the HackRF is not particularly good spurious response wise and I don't think it does duplex. Better to buy a Pluto as while it is a little cheaper, the price difference is not that great and the Pluto is much better.

Edit - Pluto currently £217 inc VAT from Farnell. Hack RF £229 from Martin Lynch.

Re: hack rf
I do not plan to add HackRF support to the Portsdown in the forseeable future.
However, the outline design for the Portsdown 5 is more modular, meaning that it might be possible for someone else to write a module to include the HackRF in the SDR options for the Portsdown 5. If this were to happen, I would look to include the module in the main build.
