I have been attempting to purchase a 21dBm amplifier from MiniKits AU. They have just the part I want but when I come to checkout I am told that there is no postal service to the UK. Has anyone tried buying from this source and, if so, with what result?
Best wishes, Gordon

Re: 23cm driver amplifier
I seem to recall they stopped shipping to the UK because of the Brexit related customs problems. This is from their facebook page from January 2021.
Due Brexit, there have been changes to the UK Tax system from January the 1st 2021 that now requires business outside of the UK to collect prepaid VAT. This means changes to our website, invoicing, and also registering for Tax in UK. Currently the cost to implement this would be too high for Mini-Kits to have to collect VAT, and accounting costs to pay the UK Tax each quarter. Unfortunately this will also be a requirement with the EU from July 2021. So for now unfortunately we will have to say goodbye to our UK and Ireland customers that have supported us for many years. If we can find a cost effective solution, then we might able to sell to your counties again.
For Europe I think they can deal with the entire continent with just one registration. I am not sure the UK market is worthwhile. This has happened with many suppliers.

Gordon, which Mini-Kits amplifier are you referring to?
The reason I ask is that I have a couple of new Mini-Kits factory built items purchased from them in the last 18 months but never used.
best regards, Barry G4ZCN

This is copied from there website.

As of January the 1st 2021, there are now changes to the Tax system in the UK with regards to low value imports less than £135 pounds ($300 AUD). This means that we can only export goods to the UK that are above this value to be able to pass through the Royal Mail system. This means that you will have to check the Royal Mail website for any Taxes that you will have to pay when buying goods from us. As of July 2021 the full value of the goods will be stated on the paper work shipped with the goods. For UK business you only have to provide your EORI number so that Taxes etc are then not payable on entry to the UK.
