EasyCAP Video DVR

Post by G0NMY » Thu Jun 03, 2021 2:06 am

Hi Dave and team,
Is there any news on the Easycap usb dongles? I seem to remember Dave was going to see if he could get another version working, as a group purchase of the correct units was cost prohibitive. Not sure of the chipset required?
Sadly the one I purchased awhile ago appears to have the wrong chipset, so Just wondering if there has been any progress?
I know Dave is busy with code writing etc, so I have left it a while before asking.
Fingers crossed :?:
Cheers

If Dave was going to try and make a different easycap chipset work then it may be better to try using a HDMI to usb convertor as the starting point rather than a composite to USB.
I find the external IPTS way of interfacing video my usual method of getting video in easily. It is just a problem of getting the external encoder - standalone or computer running vMix or OBS.

Hi,

i use LogiLink VG0001A and they work here.
If you search "LogiLink VG0001A" in Ebay there are some offered.
