Update for Portsdown 2020 (Raspberry Pi 3)

Post by G8GKQ » Fri Oct 02, 2020 10:07 pm

With all the excitement about the Portsdown 4 and Ryde, it has been a while since I "took the lid off" the Portsdown 2020, although I have 4 examples in my shack.

So, I have just released a software update for the Portsdown 2020. Nothing major, but worth doing to get the latest application updates:
  • New builds will be based on the latest Raspios 2020-08-20
  • Increase Lime PTT Delay to 12 seconds to reduce risk of calibration spike damaging PAs
  • Allow H264 PiCam and Easycap (composite video input) 16:9 image format for LimeSDR transmissions
  • Continue to display receive parameters until 7 seconds after a valid signal is received
Please report any new bugs here.

Hi Dave,

Fired up my DTX1 today with a Raspberry Pi 3B+ and latest Portsdown 2020 connected ( without a screen ). It still seems to work. I used composite video in and transmitted from the DTX1. ( controlled via putty and ssh )
I don't think many people will use it now Limes and Plutos are here but just thought you would like to know.
