Hi Everyone,
Got some strange behaviour which I first thought was a problem with my Lime Mini.
Firstly thanks to Dave G8GKQ for fixing the Display Freeze issue after the new Pi Kernel update.
After setting up the Portsdown in the Menus for our local repeater GB3UD I then checked the output spectrum on the Anritsu before connecting up to the amplifier and antenna. The Lime Mini only seemed to transmit a low level carrier, tried everything rebooted then tried to TX again etc. Eventually I found the issue, if in Menu 1 I select Send To 'Lime Mini' only a low level carrier is output, if I select Send To 'Lime DVB' then I get a modulated DVB output which decodes well and looks pretty clean.
Is this normal behaviour or a software bug?
Thanks Simon
Output to Lime SDR or Lime DVB?
Re: Output to Lime SDR or Lime DVB?
Hi Simon
Normal behaviour.
If you have the DVB firmware loaded, you need to select "Output to" LimeDVB. With the stock (1.30) firmware loaded, you need to select Lime Mini. As described here: https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Portsdown_2020 ... rted_Guide
There is no way of telling from the RPi whether the DVB firmware is loaded, otherwise I would have automated this.
