Well, when I found that the Lime didn't want to talk to my 'Old Software' on the Portsdown.
I decided to try and download 'image' the new software and after some issues understanding where the route directory was ..to my complete surprise
I managed I think to transfer the image to SD card
I then transferred the SD card to the Portsdown and it booted up!!!
However my excitement was short lived as only random touch buttons worked.
With the Putty connected I reset the screen calibration to zero
Rebooted again and still touch switches were flakey but I did get to the calibrate screen button.
Started screen calibration but this stopped at point number five out of the eight.
Old SD card is now back in Portsdown and all is well but obviously on Lime functionality
Don't you just love IT upgrades!
Looks like I won't be transmitting TV on Oscar 100 anytime soon
Maybe I should concentrate on SSB!
Anyone else had this problem??
FYI I am using the 3.5 inch screen
Stretch Software Screen Problems
Re: Stretch Software Screen Problems
I guess that no responses means that I am the only one with this issue..and no one other than Dave understands how the thing works!
I have checked that the correct Wavetech 3.5 inch display driver is selected
Under the stretch software the touch screen now does not work at all...however plug in the old card and everything works fine.
All very frustrating.

Downloaded another copy of the software and imaged it onto a different SD card
Blew it into the PI using putty...pretty sure that this took longer than the first install
Anyway touch screen now works!
Just awaiting the arrival of the powered hub so that I can plug in the Lime..ready for the next IT battle!
