Yes good neat job!
I have fitted a Maplin 100mm 40 way rainbow ribbon cable extension which is fine. Only problem is that you have to be careful how you plug in the touch-screen as there is no index and there needs to be a 5mm gap from the edge of the socket as well as being the right way round!-
Photo to follow when I have mounted the parts -including the display surround which my son Andy G7OKE made with his 3D printer.

Now waiting for the local oscillator module to arrive and I can press on from there.
