Simon

Thanks - these are 2 new ones. What are the devices' brands/trade names/model numbers?

Hi Dave,

That is quite tricky as they a both cheap Ebay jobs, with no exact model number etc printed on them or mentioned in the auction, except

The video capture one has 'EasyCap' written on it and otherwise looks identical to the Fushicai USBTV007 you have in your shop.

The Audio one is white in colour, with a very bright red LED inside, other than that no identification at all.

Sorry I can't provide any more exact information.

Thanks. I'll add it to the list in the next release.

Have you ever had the Grabby working with the Portsdown? If you were to try it with no_audio selected, it should work for video capture in the existing release.

Hello Dave ,

It works with some difficulties ,

With the last downloads the BATC information appears in the contest numbers ,
I have to go through the menu of the contest numbers to fix that ,
but than the grabber doesn't works anymore .

So I leave that be .

And I'll have to give a full shutdown after the update , before the grabber works .

Hope this is helpfull .

OK Jaap

I will try to include it in the next build. Does it work if you select "no_audio" in the setup, audio menu in the console?

Good evening Dave,

I have tried with no sound selected, but nothing has changed. Sometimes the light on the grabber is on when i am on standby (no transmit).
But as soon as i go to transmit..... the light on the grabber goes off.
I also have measured the supply voltage on the raspberry. It is always 5,1 volts.

Hi Jaap

Your grabber was included in the initial release for audio switching, so I do not know why it does not work. Please could you tell me the software version when it did work and I will look back to see if I have changed anything.

The last update that might have changed it for H264 coding (ANALOG mode) was in January 2017. Is your problem that it does not work with MPEG-2 coding that I introduced on 22 July 2017?

As I cannot test all grabbers, can I suggest that you use a Fushicai USBTV007 Easycap which is the recommended equipment? Alternatively, if you can suggest changes to the code to make your grabber work, I would be happy to put them into the published software.

Hello Dave,

You asked me about de update version when my grabber was still working good.
I am not shure about the date, but i think it was the version the last two numbers ware 60.
But as you recomended i will order a grabber from the BATC store.
The ZOLID grabber i am using now , i was using with my Digilight .
I have 2 off them ,and they ware working very good on that project.

Many thanks for your help and all the good work for the portsdown project...!

Greetings,

Jaap PA0OLD
