DC -DC converter

Hello experts
In the boxed up Portsdown on the Wiki, CQTV, Radcom etc there is a DC to DC converter. What do you recommend from I assume EBay that works satisfactorily please? I assume this provides the 5.1v into the PI.

Yes, it provides the 5.1V for the Pi. I would not recommend the DC-DC Converter that I used in the Demo unit, as it has its current sensor in the low side (so the output ground is not the same as the input ground). However any other eBay unit capable of about 2A should do.

What is important is the constant 5.1V supply.

Thank you for replies Dave and Dimitri. I ordered the board in the link for under £2.
Would the front end of the Minitiouner circuit do too? I found it far easier to set the sub-circuit psu up by adjusting its potentiometer for 5.5vdc than the resistor mod. Last time it was awful! It measured 5.48V in circuit. So no doubt that little board would do well as a 5.1 V Pi power supply.

The single output converter from Amazon arrived 10/6/17. As there's no sense of scale nor dimensions in the advert I can report it measures 47 x 24 mm. Where every BATC pcb has ground plane corners with 3.5 mm diameter holes, this has live +ve and negative pads with 2.5 diameter holes. I had to mount it on two cable tie pads with a long cable tie to fix it into paste. I set it to 5.12V no load and it opereates the Pi just fine.

I would recommend a MP1584 3A DC-DC Buck Adjustable Voltage Reg like on the Minitiouner board as it's £1.40 and turns up in a week.
