New Build - Now I'm stuck

Post by g0mgx » Thu Jun 01, 2017 7:29 pm

Hi All,

I'm new to ATV/DATV and all things TV. I'm Mark, G0MGX and I am in Belper, Derbyshire and an avid hombrewer. I did post a while ago asking for help with "extreme soldering" but it turns out buying some decent flux and not shopping on eBay is the solution to my problems.

I've been building a Portsdown and a MiniTiouner - both of which I am confident are now working:

http://g0mgx.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/i-t ... rking.html

I've detailed the build there including the LPF I have knocked up for 146MHz (the recommended bandpass filter looked way too hard!).

I'm now trying to generate a test card using another Pi 3 and the TCAnim Software from here:

https://wiki.batc.tv/RPi_Test_Card

Even though I have followed the instructions to enable the Composite AV socket and have wired a cable in accordance with this (about half way down the page):

https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 91&t=83446

I'm getting nothing at the Portsdown end of my AV cable and am now completely stuck on what to try and do to debug/fix this.

Any pointers very much appreciated.

Mark
