Hi All,

We'll be running a QO-100 DATV station at Gilwell Park as GB2GP this coming weekend (19th/20th October) for this year's JOTA/JOTI events.

We're planning to integrate the transmitter with the TV Studio facility, allowing the scouts to produce a wide range of content. If you're on air, please do give us a call on the Spectrum Monitor chat to set up a duplex QSO with our scouts and say hello!

After several significant 'challenges', (due to dish damage in transport among other issues), we finally have a QO-100 DATV station set up at GB2GP for the second day of JOTA (Jamboree on the Air) tomorrow (Sunday).

We have scouts in from about 9:30am to 4:30pm. Hope to catch some of you on the satellite!

are there any plans to have a station on air / streaming from Gilwell Park for JOTA this year?

Hi Barry,

Yes there is! There's a little uncertainty as to who's running it due to an event conflict but I believe Frank has a couple of us lined up to set up a DATV uplink station at Gilwell Park so at least one of us will be there.

GB2IRS will be on from Ipswich Radio Scouts too.
Just need to check the gear over to get QRV as I haven't been on in a while.

Not sure if anything happened but we didn't spot GB2GP which was disappointing. The only station we saw was LZ9S.

We (GB0TVS Tees Valley Scouts) were lucky enough to work Gilwell Park and LX9S via QO100 narrowband prior to our uplink amplifier failure.
