David, G0MRF and myself will be travelling out to St John's Newfoundland in May to try operating QO-100 from below the horizon.

We are planning to fly out on Wednesday 15th May and return early on Sunday 19th and will be based at the entrance to St John's harbour, GN37PN85. The theoretical elevation angle to QO100 is -1.0 degrees from this location, but, as the spacecraft moves in a three dimensional figure of eight through a 24 hour period, and as there may be refraction or other "enhancements" over the sea - it may be possible.

As well as planning FT8, CW and SSB operation, we will be taking a Portsdown 4 transceiver with a high power PA from G7NTG. With just a 65 cm dish this provides a good 250 ks DATV signal from UK but this will be an experimental DXpedition!

Once we have arrived, we will monitor the wb chat as soon as we get setup.
