Dear all,
First of all happy newyear ..
I'm a newbie on Satcomm.
My rx setup is like this,
Dish Triax1.2m
PLL LNB Inverto IDLH 410
Sat receiver DM800HD SE for free to air channels
RTL SDR .com Stick
I receiving perfectly DABR4 but NO Signal from Oscar 100, so my question do I need to modify this LNB?
73 from ON4CGW
Inverto IDLH-TW410-HMPRO-OPN
Re: Inverto IDLH-TW410-HMPRO-OPN
Hi
You should not need to modify the LNB.
Are you able to receive the narrow-band transponder using the RTL-SDR?

Hi Dave,
Nope I receive only a lot of BADR4 , see the attachment, Arabic BBC Signal 73%
I have 18V via Bias T on the LNB .
I'm already a couple of day's busy with the settings of the dish, this is mounted on an Technomate 2600 rotor.
its also dificult to know if I have the correct Skew on the LNB

Hi
There's a guide to receiving Oscar100 signals here: https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Receiving_Osca ... TV_signals
Note that a standard sat rx system cannot receive the DATV signals as they are on the amateur band which is ~200Mhz lower thanthe ITU satellite band where BADR4 is. They are are an IF frequency of ~745MHz and so you need a frequency converter or the MiniTiouner USB receiver.
You should be able to see the Narrow Band signals on your RTL stick connected to the LNB via a bias tee at + / - 739.600Mhz

Re: Inverto IDLH-TW410-HMPRO-OPN
If you are using a dish rotator then you should first set the dish to the reference position which would be due south in the northern hemisphere and set it so the axis of rotation points to the north star. That way the rotator will scan the geostationary satellites as it rotates. In the reference position the LNB should be verticle. As the dish rotates the whole thing will be at the same 'vertical' of the satellite and hence leaning over the right amount.
