Mike! The only "dumb" question possible- is not asked one!
As for physical placement of the feed, I think that determining of it's best position, without using special equipment, is experimental tests. :shock:

Can't agree more with the above comment, if it was me I'd set the dish up as it is and peak it up on QO100. This would give me a starting point to aim for. Then I'd try and get the POTY at a similar point as the secondary reflector and then adjust untill I got a similar signal strength as I got with the original setup. Don't give up on the dish just think of it as more of a challenge and more fun than a standard off set dish Mike.
