I have a new Inverto Black Ultra Quad LNB (item No: 3310) with built-in multiswitch.
Directly replacing my working Octagon with this unit I can get almost no output from it. When I tune to a very strong (Asatra) bird on a domestic receiver it does receive but very weak. I have been on to the suppliers who just say that it should work fine as I have it - but it don't! I actually ordered a second one, thinking the first might be u/s but it's the same! Am I missing something? What is a "built-in multiswitch" and could this be a clue?
These are expensive and should be the bees knees for QO-100. ANY IDEAS ANYONE PLEASE?
Thanks, John G3YQC
Inverto Black Ultra LNB Problem
Re: Inverto Black Ultra LNB Problem
As far as I can tell is is just a standard non-PLL LNB. It's not what you want for QO-100. I think it would be better to stick to the Octagon.

Thanks Mike, I guess I should have known that but I wanted to try anything to get better sensitivity and/or stability. It still should work though!
Reckon a bigger dish is a better bet but....where to put it?
