Spectrian 70watt Snowflaking

A number of articles have been written on this 'Black Art'...........Following one of the articles .. removed the two variable caps

The second one nearest the o/p, when removed ..reduced the o/p from the amplifier

I am now considering replacing the input capacitor.

There was some suggestion that the two caps together with their associated pads formed a 2.4 GHz trap?

Would be interested in the experience of others who have been down this route.
