Where to put your Es'hail-2 dish

Post by g8gtz » Wed Feb 27, 2019 10:35 am

For those still wondering where to put your dish you have about 8 days when the sun will be in exactly the same position in the sky as Es'hail-2 at some time during the day.

You can find the exact timing at your location by using this site: website https://www.satellite-calculations.com/ ... erence.php

You will need a bright day (should be OK tomorrow) and then look where the sun hits the ground or wall - that's where to place your dish and take loads of pictures so you remember exactly where it was when you come to plant the dish in the flower bed!

Also, those with a dish will notice a rise in noise level during these times as the sun passes behind Es'hail-2.

I’m using for years David Taylor excellent programme WXtrack witch has a special faction for Solar outage. I measure the sun noise and also the physical temperature of the LNB at the same time.
