Hi guys,

I've been scouring the web for an Octagon OTLSO - but out of stock everywhere in the UK as far as I can tell.

Any ideas for a supplier or would a single or quad version do instead ?

Nearly bought a unit from Amazon claiming PLL an OTLO but on the Octagon website it said DRO based.

Regards Tim

Try Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Octagon-Optima ... Full+HD+TV I bought off eBay last week but it came from Amazon where it was £4 cheaper. Buyer beware...

Thanks for that - I had seen that one on Amazon but as it was a single and not a twin didn't buy it.

Not sure what the advantage is of having a twin over a single ?

I think its an easy fit into the combined feed 2.4G patch/10G centre design thats doing the rounds. If you only anticipate having one rx to feed its not an issue AFAIK. Unless you have a mega cable run the signal is usually large enough from the LNB to tolerate passive splitting anyway should the need arise.

These are the British distributors that I bought my LNB from several years ago;
https://www.redappledigital.co.uk/produ ... echnology/
I spoke to them today and they are well aware of Es'Hailsat; Radio Amateurs have cleared out all stock of an item that was not that popular before. Apparently, Octagon are manufacturing more stock and he is hoping for stock at the end of the month (February 2019).
As far as I am aware from the Octagon German website, only two of their range are PLL; model OSLO single and OTLSO twin.

I received my OQSLG lna today from HM-Sat-Shop via Amazon for £13.94 , postage was £9 as it was despatched from Germany via DHL, but I did receive within 3 days.
Since then I have seen a UK supplier on Amazon selling it for £16.99 post free, both can be found with "Octagon 0.1db Quad High Gain HD Ready Universal LNB ".
This afternoon I fitted the octagon on an old 60cm mesh dish, followed the instructions @ https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Es%27hail-2_Basic_Information and to my surprise it worked !

Hi guys

I landed up buying a Technomate TM1 from Amazon for £7.99, works great and is PLL'd with a 25MHz reference - nice T9 note as well for SSB use.

Getting the DATV beacon with an MER of 6dB using an 80cm oval dish.

I've also ordered a couple of Opticum https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1 for £5.93 each delivered which are also PLL devices.
