CQ-TV 262 ready for download

The electronic copy of CQ-TV 262 is available for download on the BATC website at https://batc.org.uk/cq-tv/cq-tv-download/ . You will need to be logged in to the website to access this page and if you have not already visited the new website, you will need to do a password reset before you can access the CQ-TV page - simply follow the instructions on this page https://wiki.batc.org.uk/Resetting_your_password
In response to requests from our members the copy available for download from the webpage is a much high resolution version at approximately 28Mb. If due to limited broadband speed, you need a smaller, lower resolution version, send an email to admin@batc.tv and we will send you a link to a 5Mb version.
In CQ-TV 262 you'll find details of the latest Portsdown release which includes full support for the Lime SDRmini and news that the BATC shop will be selling the Lime SDRmini as a replacement for the Portsdown Filter Modulator board. If you have already bought a FM board, there's no need to worry as we have no intention to stop supporting the FM board in the near future.
There's news of 2 regional CAT19 events to be held in Bristol and the Wirral and we are hoping for at least 2 more events to be organised later in the year. For more details, contact the organisers or keep an eye on the forum .
There's an update and the rules for new Christmas repeater contest which starts tomorrow and runs until New Years Day with a £100 award going to the repeater group with most contacts.
There's a report of the Low Band activity weekend last October and don't forget the March weekend will feature the higher bands including 5.6GHz when there will be a prize for the most successful stations. The activity weekends continue throughout the winter - it's not just for the crazy people who go out portable, but you can join in from your cozy shack! Full details will be published on the forum and the contest web page.
